Art

My art is a collection of works that can be looked at as a series of art pieces. These collections of abstracts, collages and “Kahlo” style paintings that I created to express what it’s like to live a life with fibromyalgia. It shows and verbalizes the challenges of everyday life of a fibromite. This collection is called Fibro-My-A-Life”.

As I tried to get back into my paintings I found a need to have a studio space where I could spread out and create. My first studio space borne a collection of acrylics which I did purely out of celebration of my having to re-invent who I was while holding on to any semblance of the old me. They are vibrant and multi-ethnic and multi-cultural. This collection is one I refer to as my studio Coming-Out” collection.

Finally, my book, Lily: A Collection of Poems and Reflections, has a collection of my photography which I chose for each poem.

Lily: A Collection of Poems & Reflections can be acquired, autographed, through me at a book signing or emailing me at swtstick@gmail.com OR you can purchase the book online through Barnes&Nobles.com or Amazon.com.
